1. the person i like and why i like them- hmmm… i don’t think i like anyone i know personally (romantically that is), so i’m going with amanda tapping- because she uses her fame to help others and support amazing causes. She is not afraid to be herself- she doesn’t conform to society’s expectations. She is a strong female role model, and i love her for it!
16. a drunken story- this one time, at the beginning of first year, my roommate, friend and i went to the school bar. Some drunk girl spilled her beer on me. I went home after half an hour to read fan fiction. yep. that was my first and last time in a bar.

Warehouse 13 is in the unique position of being one of the only shows currently on television that does not feel the need to have the two main characters romantically involved. And that is part of what makes the show so refreshing. Warehouse 13 enforces the fact that men and women can have successful platonic friendships and work relationships. Pete and Myka showed audiences that two professional, caring individuals of the opposite sex can get along without being in love with each other. Sure, the show dealt with “sexual tension” between the two leads at the start of the series, but this quickly faded to allow for a beautiful friendship to develop. Suggesting that the two characters were in love with each other all along only enforces the popular notion maintained by the media that men and women cannot successfully engage in non-romantic relationships with each other. This notion is old fashioned, inaccurate, and insulting. Warehouse 13 is one of my favourite television shows- but if this happens, I’m not watching anymore!
edit: apparently Eddie McClintock tweeted that there will not be a romantic relationship between Pete and Myka. (Not deleting this, though- it’s still relevant!)
